Instrument Dashboard Development

Wrote Python based Plotly Dashboards to display real-time data from instruments in the field in order to aid engineering in development, troubleshoot and collaborate.


Config Development Assistant

Wrote a series of Python scripts to help error check documentation related to writing, testing and release of customer configurations. These will interface with an automatic binary decoder and test script generation script which is a work in progress.


DataLink SimuLation

Wrote a C++ program to take plain text messages and convert them into I/Q data for signal generation. Message was bit stuffed, blocked and forward checked according to ARINC standards WIP: Injecting noise into the signal to allow for quality testing.


Bearings Only Ranging

Worked on developing and testing bearings only ranging algorithms for tracking aquatic life using sonar acoustics. Modelling and analysis written in Matlab.


Radio Telescope

Designed a radio telescope with ~43 dB gain for detecting fast radio bursts (FRBs). Telescope was designed small and inexpensive enough to be constructed by amateur radio astronomers in their backyards.


UndeRWateR Vehical Tracking

Developed a particle filter to determine the spatial location of a submerged underwater vehicle (UAV). This used vehicle heading and velocity as inputs and was checked using GPS at the surface.


Part of the North Helena Valley Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) remediation project. Along with a team from Geolex, Inc, collected magnetics, electromagnetics and geospatial data in order to locate UXO for later removal.

UXO Localization


Led Geolex's first downhole geophysics project. Determined equipment costs, training and deployment. Led team to collect data onsite.
